How to Sort and Filter the Matter List
Efficiently managing a high volume of cases requires the ability to quickly narrow down information. This guide explains how to use the built-in filtering and sorting tools to organise your matter list based on specific criteria such as status, department, or assigned personnel.
Navigating to the Matter List
Locate the navigation sidebar on the left-hand side of the interface.
Click the Matters icon to open the main case overview. The dashboard will refresh to display the full list of active and historical matters.
Applying Status and Department Filters
Locate the filter bar at the top of the Matters list.
Click the Status dropdown menu to filter matters by their current phase. You may choose from several options including Draft, Quote, In progress, On hold, Completed, Exchanged, Archived, Closed, Not proceeding, and Destroyed.
Select the Department dropdown menu to view matters belonging to specific practice areas which have been previously established within the application.
Click the Case type dropdown to further refine the list based on the specific legal category of the matter.
Filtering by Personnel and Search Terms
Click the Responsible lawyer dropdown menu to filter the list for cases managed by a specific member of the legal team.
To find a specific entry quickly, click into the Matter Name field or the Client field and type the name of the matter or client which you wish to locate.
The list will automatically update to show only the entries which match your search criteria.
Viewing Personal Matters
Locate the My Matters checkbox, which is situated on the far left of the filter bar.
Tick the My Matters checkbox to hide all other firm-wide entries.
The list will now display only the matters which are assigned specifically to your user account.
