How to Assign a Default Invoice per Case Type

This guide shows you how to set a default invoice template for a case type, using the Update case type window in Configuration.

Steps
1. Open Configuration. From the left-hand navigation menu, click Configuration.
2. Open the Organisation tab. The Configuration page opens on the Narratives tab by default. Click the Organisation tab.
3. Open Case Types. Under Organisation, click the Case Types sub-tab. This shows a list of case types with their Title, Description, Department, and Created At columns.
4. Select the case type to update. Find the case type you want to update in the list, then click the three-dot (⋮) icon at the right of its row. In this example, the Advice case type (Criminal department) is used.
5. Click Edit. A small menu appears with Edit and Disable options. Click Edit.
6. Review the Update case type window. The Update case type window opens. It shows fields for Department, Title, Description, Default Folders, Default Retention Period (years), Set next review date after days, Default Workflow, Default Forms, and Default Invoice Template.
7. Open the Default Invoice Template field. Click the Default Invoice Template field. A list of available templates appears.
8. Choose the template. Click the template you want to set as the default for this case type. In this example, FULLY LISTED was selected.
9. Save your changes. Click Save.
